News to Me!

Today's prompt:

"When was the first time that you realized that your home was not like other people’s homes?"


WHAT!? My home is different than other peoples??


Just kidding. Sort of. My family is weird, but at least they've been consistent my whole life. :) I know we're different. That is why I like us.

We're sarcastic. Sometimes brutally so. Especially Caitlin. She's pretty sassy. But it's always in a funny light-hearted way.

I remember as a pretty young kid being sarcastic and somebody not getting it and then got mad at me. Steven thought it was hilarious. He got the joke. No one else did.

Not only is that pretty much the story of my life, it also made me realize that not everyone else thought the way we did.

Today I am grate for a sense of humor. :) I'm grateful that I can laugh at myself and laugh with others. Sometimes it make take me a minute to get a joke, but I will get it, and then laugh at myself that it took so long. :)
