Yesterday I did a little "Two Truths and a Lie" for April Fool's Day. Here is what I said and the explanations:
1. I sprained my ankle pretty bad in college, all because a boy winked at me. True. My Junior Year we were playing this winking tag game and a super attractive guy winked at me and I ran to him (the point of the game) and I tripped over my own feet. I didn't think my ankle was that bad, but my roommates thought I had broken it, so I ended up in the ER the next day. Turns out it the ligaments along the outside of my foot were torn. Lovely. I was on crutches for the next month and had to move apartments during that time. Luckily, the guy that had winked at me was a good friend and felt really bad about my ankle so he and his cousin moved all my stuff for me, in the rain. :) So kind of them. So I guess it kind of worked out. For me. :)
2. Cellular and Molecular Biology was my favorite class in college. The text book was over 3.5 inches thick. True. I loved, loved, loved that class! One of my favorite things we did was have a overnight "retreat" to do some presentations that we didn't have time for in the lecture. It was so much fun! We drove to a cabin and did our presentations and then hung out the rest of time. I loved that after we were done for the night, everyone got together in their PJ's (totally appropriate) and read our scriptures together with our professor. Where else can you do that? So awesome. Then the next day our Professor started a snowball fight. Also awesome! Oh, and I also loved the subject matter. It was completely fascinating to me. Sometimes I still read the textbook--for fun. I am such a nerd. And I am okay with that. :)
3. I was voted most popular girl in my Ward in my senior year of college. Completely False. Yeah right!! ha ha ha. That would have been a hilarious joke. If we had voted, my roommate Lisa would have been the most popular. Why? Because she was (and still is) fabulous and really nice and super fun--and the most popular girl in our ward. I love Lisa. :) Though, I do have to say that my Freshman year, I was voted most likely to die of pneumonia. Again, lovely. That was because I ended up in the hospital with a bad case of bronchitis. My roommates thought it was so funny. It wasn't really. And just to be clear, those are the only two times I ended up in the ER in college. It wasn't like it happened all the time.
So there you go. :)
