Busy, Busy, Busy

"When life ain't busy, life ain't fun." (my mom is cringing right now at the use of "ain't" ha ha ha...)

Right?  Right?!

Well apparently that is my philosophy right now. The week before Easter was frantic and this last week was pretty busy too!

I think I know what the problem is...I have too many craft projects going on. Pathetic, I know. But it's true. I have so many ideas, and so I get so excited get the project started and then have another idea and then get that project started, then I have another brilliant idea (or see someone's brilliant idea) and think: "I NEED TO HAVE THAT RIGHT NOW!"--literally a voice in my head yells that--and so then I start that project, and then I have another idea...well you get the idea. (speaking of which...)  :)

Right now, I can think of at least 9 different projects that are in the works. Some I have just started, others are almost done, and some, like my sister's wedding scrapbook, I'm pretty sure will NEVER be finished.

Great news is that most of them are currently being worked on. This last week I have been focusing on Caitlin's wedding scrapbook. It's possible that I feel terribly guilty that I haven't done anything on it in the last 6 months and they've been married for just over 2 years now. In my defense I haven't had a place to work on it. And I think Caitlin really wants me to work on it because for my birthday, she bought me the perfect sized table to go in my room so I don't have to do craft projects on my floor anymore. She is so sweet!

So once I got the table all set up, I spent a couple of Saturdays ago setting up my new craft area in my bedroom. It is all of about 6 square feet, but it is all mine and it is perfect--for now, until I get another brilliant idea...

As you can easily tell, the space is not ideal (again, I miss my craft area in my old house in Lincoln *sigh*), but it is quite functional and I am very happy with it. The table is perfect! Thanks Cait!

I also put up a cute tack board on the wall, above the chair rail and next to my bookcase. And I made myself cute tacks out of the stuff I already had. It turned out really cute. Next I just need to put on it an inspirational quote about creativity...of course I'm going to make it. It's on my list of ideas on my tack board. Ha ha ha.

Ok, so here are some of the layouts I've made recently for Cait's scrapbook. And please forgive the slightly blurry pictures of the pages. My phone's camera is being weird and sensitive to slight movement. Also, lighting in my room is awful, so that doesn't help either.

This page is pretty self explanatory. If you don't get it, I'm not sure we're even friends. :)

This is a page about Nick's brothers being goofy during pictures. The title is "What a B(r)other!"

This will be the last page of the book. I love it.

Here is a picture of the McGrath's all together for probably the first time in maybe 15 years. At least I don't remember any time sooner.

I really like this page too. Michelle, one of the photographers had the idea to write on Cait's shoes and take pictures of them. They turned out really cute. It also helps that I did all the flowers for the reception so I like her bouquet. :) So I am totally un-biased.

Here is a pretty page, just for Nick. He'll love all the "manly" purples I used. My roommate called it the "prettiest page yet." ha ha ha. My bad, Nick. I did use blue, but it's a flower. So that probably doesn't count, does it? Sorry! Well the book is actually for Caitlin, Nick probably won't even look at it. So, there.

I like how simple this page is. It's also sparkly. I like sparkly. That is why I made it sparkly. Which is why I like it. Oh, and I found a peanut, a peanut, a peanut...

Ok, so that is all for now. This is why I haven't been blogging. I've been busy. Making things pretty. And I'm off to do it again. :)
